Bair comes to Guilford after serving as the men’s soccer head coach at Mary Baldwin University from 2019 through 2021. Speed has club-coaching experience with the Austin Texans, the Roanoke Star, and New River United. Mike Bair was named the head men's soccer coach in March of 2022. Roanoke had four all-region and 13 All-ODAC performers during Speed’s two years on staff. The Maroons went 24-10-4 in Speed’s two seasons, including 15-3-2 in 2014. Speed headed east in 2013 to join Guilford’s league-rival, Roanoke College, on new coach Ryan Pflugrad’s staff. He led the Quakers to a 7-9-3 record and a ninth-place finish in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference during his first season. Off the field, Woodard is a television commentator for Nashville SC in the professional soccer ranks. In addition to TSC, Woodard is the Director of the South Region for the Olympic Development Program as a part of USYSA.Īt the collegiate level, Woodard coached for 18 years, most notably leading the Commodores of Vanderbilt University as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach from 2001-2010. In 2016-17, she led the TSC 98 Girls to the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) National Championship, the first ever by a Tennessee club. Woodard, who currently coaches the 2001/02 Girls ECNL team is no stranger to success on and off the soccer field.
